Shawn and Laura Smith - Taylor O'Hare Smith Memorial

This scholarship was created in the memory of our son Taylor Smith. He was a freshman at Arnold High School in 2009 when he was killed by a hit-and-run drunk driver. Taylor was an organ donor and was able to save three lives. He continues to help others through this scholarship, which is awarded annually to an Arnold High School student.

He was a wonderful son, amazing brother, and good friend. He enjoyed skimming and skateboarding with his friends. He played soccer for five years and was always ready to try something new. He is greatly missed by all who knew him.

On July 2, 2010 the family of Taylor Smith created an endowed scholarship to be awarded each year to a high senior graduating from J.R. Arnold High School.
